Constitutional Studies

There has been a resurgence in the study of the Constitution, its origins and meaning, the Founding Fathers and American History in general.  There are many who claim to be "Constitutional Scholars" but some claim the Constitution is a living document and open to interpretation in modern terms, they are "texturalists".

The "originalists" state the Constitution was written for all time and stands in its original context.   Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia said " the Constitution is a dead document, dead, dead, dead....... The Constitution is not a living organism, it is a legal document. It says something and doesn’t say other things."   We recommend the following scholars who concur:

PUBLIUS HULDAH - Publius Huldah explains the true & original meaning of the U.S. Constitution. She also shows how modern day judges on the U.S. federal courts have completely abandoned the U.S. Constitution and have substituted their own personal views and opinions for The Constitution.

Before getting a law degree, she got a degree in philosophy where she specialized in political philosophy and epistemology (theories of knowledge). Using primarily The Federalist Papers, which were written during 1787-1788 by Alexander Hamilton, James Madison & John Jay, in order to explain the proposed Constitution to the American People and induce them to ratify it. She is a retired attorney now living in Tennessee.

KRISANNE HALL - KrisAnne Hall is an attorney and former prosecutor who travels the country teaching the Constitution and the history that gave us our founding documents. KrisAnne will connect the dots for you like no one else can! Host of The KrisAnne Hall Show  daily podcast, she pulls no punches, puts Liberty First and gives no quarter to those who hide behind party labels. Like no other host, KrisAnne will tell you what the founders had to say on today’s relevant issues .

Our Founding Fathers gave us an extraordinary gift in the form of a “republican form of government” which guarantees our representation at all levels of government.  They did not intend for us to let our elected Representatives make all our decisions for us without hearing from us on a regular basis.  For too long we have voiced our choices on election day then gone about our business only to “contact” our Representatives when we don’t like what they do.  We have created a gap of misunderstanding between those we elect and our selves. If you feel like you are not being heard by your Representatives it is probably because you are the one not communicating.

The Center for Self Governance teaches how to participate and be engaged in issues, and  how to restore our civic authority as the Founders intended.   It is not a natural inclination to interact with our electeds and is a process that must be learned and practiced.  CSG provides the tools and training to effectively communicate and partner with our representatives.

The CSG program is a series of five levels, 8 hours each, totaling 40 hours of instruction held  approximately once a month. In between local “Keep the Republic” (KTR) Teams work with students on training exercises and local issues to implement what they are learning.  It is a commitment but worth every minute.  Is it worth it? Yes.   Will you make a difference?? YES, you will!!!

Hillsdale College is located in Spring Harbor Michigan and is one of the few colleges that does not accept Federal student loans or grants being totally privately funded.  The President of Hillsdale, Dr Larry Arnn, is often heard on the radio with “Constitution Minutes”, a one minute summary of a constitutional principle.

Hillsdale has education opportunities across the country through their on-line courses in the Constitution, History, Economics, Politics, and more. The courses are the same ones taught at the College and comprise the lecture, additional resources and relevant reading materials and a final “Quiz”.  There are 10 lectures in each course and are archived on line and the full catalog is available when you sign on to any one of the lecture series.   The courses are free but donations are gladly accepted.

 If you are interested in learning about the Constitution, the Founders and American History you will enjoy these courses. Sign up today.

American Majority is a national training organization that brings their training directly to the organizations where they live.  They also have on-line training that is easily accessible on their website. AM is a non-profit, non-partisan organization focusing on helping to develop new leaders and activists to be catalysts for real change in America.

The training covers four tracks:

New Leaders Campaign - designed to target people who are willing to take on leadership positions in their community,

Activist – geared towards those who want to make a difference within their communities. The training touches on establishing organizations, how to build a volunteer base, work with other groups to build coalitions, organize successful events and work within the government structure;

Social Media -- how to make social media work for you and what it can do for your group;

Campus Training – specific training for college students to become actively engaged in local activism. American Majority sees college students as an untapped resource for supporting the liberty movement.

These trainings will equip participants to make a real impact in their communities. Each training brings the expertise and knowledge of campaign strategists, communication consultants, and seasoned organizers directly into your community.

Based in Arlington VA, the Leadership Institute has been training conservatives how to succeed in politics, government, and the media.  The LI teaches students how to influence policy through direct participation, activism, and leadership and has been supporting conservatives since its founding in 1979.

The LI provides courses that train students to run political campaigns,  run for office, how to create and implement fund raising campaigns, communications, public speaking, social media, all the tools needed to become an effective activists.   Most courses are taught in Virginia over 2-5 days but there are also many classes that are taught in a webinar format and are free.  The webinars are archived for easy viewing at your convenience.

Additionally, the Leadership Institute also takes several of their courses on the road so the opportunity to take classes nearer to home is possible.  If there is enough interest in specific subjects, such as a one or two day Campaign School, it is possible to bring those classes here to Southern Arizona for minimal fees.   These classes are well worth the time spent especially to be able to participate in these top-notch programs and receive the same education and training as many sitting conservative politicians and public policy makers across the United States.

Founded by Frank Gaffney in 1988  The Center for Security Policy is a DC national security policy “think tank” that focuses on potential threats to the security of the US. “Peace Through Strength” is their motto and how they focus their research in areas such as Africa, Latin America, the Middle East.   They identified the issue of a world wide caliphate and the threat of radical Islamists long before traditional sources.  They also identified  potential problems with National Security due to the changes in Federal policy makers to be more concerned about how American policies look to the global community rather than the effect on national sovereignty.

The Center also produces “Security Briefings” on the current state of national security for Federal Departments, Congressmen, Corporations, News media, or any organization concerned about security in their areas.

The Center has produced many educational videos, programs and podcasts of hosts “Secure Freedom Radio”, books, articles, op-eds, and sponsors events such as the National Security Action Summits in several States.
